Medallion Commission Information

Picture
General Information:
Medallions are flat, relief sculptures measuring about 3-4 inches wide. Each is one of a kind, with no molding involved. They can be modelled after a real horse or pet, an original character, a design, or anything else you can think of! In addition to specifying the creature, you also get to pick the shape of the medallion, the pose, the border or background, the paint colours, and whether you would like a hook or ribbon to hang it up.

Pricing:
3-4 inch wide, one creature (headshot) $50
3-4 inch wide, one creature (full body) $60
Add an extra character to either type: $10

Shipping:
Domestic (Canada and USA): $10
International: $15

Ordering:
To order, please send an email to commissions@quequinoxart.com with the details for the medallion you would like. I will reply with questions I may have, and once we have the details ironed out I will request payment. I will send you a photo of the medallion before I bake it to make sure it meets your approval, and at this stage if there is anything you would like changed let me know. I will then send a final photo after the medallion is painted.

Payment:
I require the full payment including shipping before I will start the medallion. This payment is non-refundable except in rare cases where I must cancel the commission due to illness or other extenuating circumstances. I do not do guaranteed deadlines, however the completion time for these is between 2-6 weeks on average. If there is an occasion you would like the sculpture for let me know and I will do my best to meet it, however I will not issue refunds for taking longer than expected. However, if one year passes from when you pay for the commission and I have not finished, I will give you the option to get a refund in full.

Other terms:

1.      Shipping Damage

I do my best to pack my sculptures for shipping and can ultimately not be responsible for damage or loss. However, if a sculpture arrives damaged, I will work with you, and can offer one of the following depending on your preference and the extent of the damage:
-You can send me the sculpture back so I can repair it (I pay shipping)
-I can give you a partial refund of 10%
-I can give you a 10% discount on a future purchase

2.      Cancellations

I reserve the right to cancel the commission at any time if you are aggressive or are exhibiting grossly inappropriate behaviour. If this is the case I will issue 1 warning that the behaviour is inappropriate, and after the warning if the behaviour is not ceased you forfeit your deposit and the sculpture remains my property.

3.      Additional Policies

I reserve the right to refuse a commission for any reason, and am not obligated to specify these reasons. Commission refusal will occur prior to any payments being made.

I am comfortable with any animal types, humans, nudity, and violence and gore as subject matter for commissions. I am not comfortable with subject matters involving overt sexuality.

I will not create sculptures depicting trademarked characters without express written permission from the owner of these characters.

I do not ‘chase’ people for payments; if you have not sent the payment I will simply not start the sculpture. The commission is not considered final until I have received the full amount including shipping.

If I do not have necessary information to continue the sculpture and have not heard from you regarding this information, I will simply set the sculpture aside and work on other projects until you contact me. If you have limited email access or may be going on vacation please let me know ahead of time and give me an alternative way to contact you if necessary.
