About the Artist
Welcome to Quequinox Art, home to the mystical and fantastical sculptures by artist Janine Haq. Each piece is entirely handmade from polymer clay over a skeleton of wire and foil. These creations are often given real fur and inset eyes, further adding to their realism. Sculptures are created with no moulds used or taken, and they are never replicated, so each creation is completely unique and one of a kind.
Janine has been creating these pieces since 2008 while completing her B.sch. in Psychology. She has never had any formal art training, and is self-taught through online research and hands-on exploration. In the past months she has been receiving commissions on a regular basis, and selling pieces through Etsy and Ebay. Her artwork has been sold to clients all over the world, including the United States, Canada, Australia, England, and many more. She has done portrait models of clients' real horses, model depicting original characters of the clients' design, as well as models based on a few preferred colours or characteristics.
Please feel free to wander around the site, and we do hope you enjoy your stay!
